“Capture East Ayrshire” Photography Competition

Enter our Capture East Ayrshire Photography Competition, win some fantastic prizes and have your image captured in a 2011 calendar

The competition is open to all ages and will be entered into the appropriate category

How to submit an entry:
A maximum of 2 pictures per photographer will be permitted. Images should be sent as high resolution jpeg attachment(s) by email to info@deancastle.com with “Capture East Ayrshire” in the subject line. Please also include your name and how you can be contacted. Entries can also be submitted by sending them to “Capture East Ayrshire” Competition, The Visitor Centre, Dean Castle Country Park, Dean Road, Kilmarnock, KA3 1XB.
Entries must be original, have a title and information about where in East Ayrshire the photo was taken. Images can be of a landscape, flora or fauna. The title of a picture must contain the photographer's name, age, image name, location where image was taken and number of the picture. Further information, such as date of taking, time of the day, setting, atmosphere or similar information should also be provided. This will provide the context and help the judges make their decisions.

Modification of the picture or its information is not permitted. However, standard picture-editing processes such as moderate re-sizing etc are allowed.


Copyright, liability and mailing.
The photographer must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of all pictures submitted.
Pictures may not be blocked by agencies or publishers and may not have been awarded in another competition.
By participating in this competition, the photographer agrees that his/her pictures may be used, free of charge, by Countryside Services in a commemorative calendar to be produced for 2011. The photographer will be named in every publication.


Winners Announcement
The closing date for entries is Saturday 15th May 2010 and the winners of our “Capture East Ayrshire” competition will also be announced at 2pm in the Visitor Centre Auditorium. Entrants who cannot attend the judging will be notified by post
